As part of the tournament teams will have access to setup their camp from Saturday 15th April. Any teams wanting to access the Banyan Farm prior to then will need to contact the owners Kerri & Wally Draper on 08 89782 461 or 0428 735 630. Normal park fees are likely to apply for early arrivals.
Generally not – sites are allocated at the time of arrival.
No, all rooms and cabins are taken up. If you would like to be on a waiting list in case of any changes please call the Banyan Farm to be placed on the list. There are other tourist parks in the near vicinity and teams are allowed to reside off site for the week as long as they are present each night for the formal proceedings and sign out and in each day at the Banyan Farm.
The entry fee provides for all meals for the week, camp site fees, 50 litres of fuel each day, 2 bags of ice each day, Tournament apparel (shirt, hat & cooler), tournament bag with a bunch of goodies, great entertainment and a fantastic week.
Besides the obvious (boat, fishing gear, clothes etc.) and with the food being provided you’ll only need to bring your normal accessories when going away for a week of fishing i.e. sunscreen, drinks for during the day etc.
You are allowed to bring and consume your own alcohol on your boat or at your campsite area. As the tournament has its own liquor licence, strictly only what is bought on site can be consumed in the tournament staging area. Anyone found breaching these rules will be asked to leave the tournament.
No, there is no size restriction – we generally get a wide range of different shapes and size boats. Some are more suited to the type of fishing than others. The Daly can be a treacherous river, with rock bars, hidden logs and obstacles. Vessel size and shape should be a consideration when assessing suitability for the river.
